I mention Twitter chats here from time to time. I’m a big fan, and not just of #kidlitchat (which I co-host with Bonnie Adamson). To me, chatting’s a great way to build community and learn about a particular topic.
If you’re new to Twitter chatting, my favorite reference is Debbie Ridpath Ohi‘s post Twitter Chats for Writers. If you’re not a writer, the post is still excellent (though you might skip the schedule in the middle).
If you’re thinking of joining a chat or starting a new one, a great place to start is at the Twitter Chats spreadsheat (put together by Robert Swanwick from an earlier verison by Meryl Evans).
There are now over 100 chats on the list, ranging in topics like education, agriculture, social media, writing, illustrating, parenting, and more. No doubt there are other chats going on, too, but if you don’t see your favorite topic, why not think of staring one?
If you have other great resources not covered here or in the links, I hope you’ll share ‘em. And I hope to chat with you soon!
